Shelter Rental 2010
Notice: Fees for rental in 2010 have increased to $70
Colerain Township Parks & Services Department has more shelters than ever to rent!! A new shelter was opened at Heritage Park, 11405 East Miami River Road, in mid-summer 2009; Clippard Park, on Dewhill Lane just around the corner from Bevis Elementary, is currently under renovation and will have three shelters available to rent once construction is complete during the summer of 2010; and we still have shelters available to rent at Colerain Park, 4725 Springdale Road. Rentals are for Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from the first weekend in April through the last weekend in October.
Colerain Park: Shelters 1 & 2 each have ten 8' tables and will seat approximately 75-100 people each and Shelter 3 has eight 6' tables and will seat 65-80 with at least one handicapped accessible picnic table at each of the three shelters. The reservable shelters have a rental fee of $70. Colerain Park has one additional shelter, shelter #4 which is the same size and has the same capacity as shelter #3, that is available to rent during the months of June, July and August only. In April, May, September and October Shelter #4 is available on a first come, first served basis unless otherwise determined by the Colerain Township Parks & Services Department.
Heritage Park: Has eight tables that are 8' in length and will seat approximately 64-80 people. Two of the picnic tables are handicapped accessible. The shelter currently does not have electric avaiable, but it will be added during the summer of 2010. The shelter has a grill and is located near the playground. Clippard Park: Is currently under construction and scheduled to be complete in early summer 2010. Once complete, shelters A & B, located near the playground and sprayground, will have six 8' tables and will seat approximately 48-60 people each. Shelter C, located near the baseball fields, will have eight table 8' in length and will seat approximately 64-80 people. All shelters will have electric and a grill and will be available to rent April-October for $70 each. On March 1, 2010, we will rent shelters at Clippard Park for July 3-October 31 only. Construction is scheduled to be complete before July, but to be safe in case construction gets delayed because of weather, we will not take confirmed reservations or payment for shelters at Clippard in May or June until construction is complete enough to open the Park. For those interested in a shelter at Clippard in May or June, we will place your name on a waiting list. If the Park opens before the date you have expressed interest in, you will be contacted and will have ten business days to get full payment to our office. Reservations for the 2010 season will be taken at Colerain Township Parks & Services Office, 4725 Springdale Road, weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.* No telephone reservations or mail-in requests accepted. Rentals begin March 1, 2010.
To accommodate the large volume of people during the first hours of reservations, shelter reservations will begin at the Colerain Township Administration Building starting at 7:30 a.m. on March 1, 2010. All reservations made after March 1, 2010 at noon, will be made at the Parks & Services Office, 4725 Springdale Road, in front of Colerain Park.

Colerain Township only rents the sheltered areas and ball fields at each park and amphitheater at Colerain Park. The rest of each park is open to the general public - that includes features that are adjacent to some of the shelters such as horseshoe pits, volleyball court, corn hole, sprayground, etc.

The parks are open from dawn until dusk. Your shelter rental is for the entire day. We do not split days. The parks are closed from dusk until dawn. Shelter must be vacated by dark.

Applicant must be eighteen (18) years of age and in attendance during reservation period and responsible for the group and condition of the area after the group has left the premises.
|

Reservations available for weekend days and legal holidays, April through October. Shelter #4 at Colerain Park is available on a first come, first served basis during the months of April, May, September and October. The parks, all play structures and equipment are open to the public; only the shelter you have rented is limited to your own use. Township sponsored activities have priority in the scheduling of shelters.

Confirmation of reservation and payment with cash or check (payable to "Colerain Township Trustees") only, on a first come, first served basis. Reservation fee is $70.00.

Refunds are available for cancellations made 10 days prior to reservation only. Rental refunds for those who are eligible to receive the same can expect the refund within six (6) weeks. An applicant may reschedule their date if prior notice is given; the new date must be within the same calendar year. No refunds given for inclement weather. If severe weather on the day of the reservation causes the shelter area to become unsafe, or if the park is closed by the Parks & Services Department, the applicant may request a refund; refund requests must be made within one week after the reservation date.

NO GLASS CONTAINERS. Alcohol consumption under reserved shelter area only. Alcohol is not permitted in the park except in the reserved areas.

General clean-up is the responsibility of the applicant. The Applicant is responsible for leaving the area in a safe, clean and orderly condition. The organization/applicant holding this signed permit is liable for all damages to plants, trees, park grounds and park property resulting from the permit holder's use of the park.
No staples, duct tape, nails, or adhesives that will leave permanent residue or damage may be used to attach any items to the shelters or picnic tables. Tape may be used, however, all tape must be removed at the end of the applicant's rental period.

All Colerain Township Parks & Services Park Rules & Regulations must be followed. Failure to do so may result in the termination of occupancy at anytime without a refund. The Colerain Township Parks & Services Department reserves the right to deny a future reservation due to violations of park rules & regulations.

The Board of Trustees shall have the authority to modify shelter usage rules & regulations as needed and they shall have the authority to waive or modify any fees associated with the use of park shelters.
|
*For the 2010 season, reservations are planned to be taken at the Administration Complex, 4200 Springdale Road, from 7:30 AM until 12:00 p.m. on March 1, 2010. After noon on the first day, reservations will be taken at the Parks & Services Office at 4725 Springdale Road only. This procedure is subject to change. Please check back prior to rental or call (513)385-7503 to make sure of the time and location for the 2010 season.
2010 Rentals
Shelter rentals for the 2010 season will begin Monday, March 1, 2010. All reservations MUST be done in person. Please have applicant's proof of residency (drivers license, State ID or utility bill) and the $70 rental fee, cash or check, with you when you apply. We cannot accept applications without proof of residency or payment and we cannot hold dates. During the first week of reservations, March 1-5, we can only accept one application per person or organization per park.
