Heather E. Harlow Township Fiscal Officer

Heather Harlow was elected Township Clerk in November 2003 and took office on April 1, 2004. An act of the Ohio Legislature in 2005 changed the position's name to Fiscal Officer. She was elected to a second term in November of 2007. She is truly excited about her position as Township Fiscal Officer and enjoys serving the people of Colerain Township. The Township Fiscal Officer, one of four elected officials for the Township, is the chief fiscal officer and record keeper for the township. The Township Fiscal Officer is responsible for keeping a record of proceedings at public meetings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reporting to the state and county auditors, and fulfilling public records requests. While in office, she has increased citizens' access to public information through the township's website, an e-mail notification system, her columns in the Northwest Press, and via sites such as Facebook. Heather has also revised the Township's investment policy, to ensure that our public funds are safeguarded in this market. She has brought the public records policy into the digital age and fulfills requests electronically, where possible. A Township resident since 1980, Heather is a graduate of both the Colerain Township Citizen Police Academy and the Citizen Fire Academy. She has served as the restaurant coordinator for the Taste of Colerain since 2007, a position that combines two things very important to her - service to the community and great food! Heather is on the Advisory Committee for Butler Tech's Construction Technology program, on the Northwest High School campus. Heather is a graduate of McAuley High School and holds a baccalaureate degree in English and Communication Arts from the College of Mount St. Joseph. She also holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Northern Kentucky University. She is the office manager for a property management company located in Forest Park. Heather and her husband, Michael, are members of St. John the Baptist parish on Dry Ridge Road. Michael and Heather have one son, John.
