Colerain Township Parks & Services is currently in the final stages of redeveloping Clippard Park, a 15 acre park located on Dewhill Drive. On January 15, 2008, Colerain Township, along with design firm Brandstetter Carroll, Inc., held the first of three public meetings at Bevis Elementary School to get input from residents. During the meetings, many issues with the park in its current state were addressed as well as suggestions given for what residents would like to have at a redeveloped park. The design firm took the community's input back to their offices and developed three conceptual plans incorporating suggestions given at the meetings (the links are listed below). The plans were first presented to the Board of Trustees on May 13, 2008 for their input. After minor tweaking to the plans, a final concept plan was accepted, see below. Brandstetter Carroll was hired to design the formal plans for the redevelopment which would include an additional five acres being purchased in part by a NatureWorks grant through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Construction began in July of 2009 and is scheduled to be complete by the end of September 2010.

Community Skatepark Meetings
The first of two community worksessions concerning the development of the skatepark took place on February 10, 2009. Over thirty people showed up to give Grindline, the skatepark developer hired to design the plans, input as to what they would like to see in the final plans at Clippard Park. After a short video of Grindline's previous work that included a section on the actual construction process, Micah Shapiro, the representative from Grindline and a skater himself, went around the room and asked each individual what they would personally like to have incorporated into the Clippard Park plans. Each suggestion was charted by category for Micah to take whith him so that the plans for our skatepark are truly representative of what our community wants. Additionally, each individual was given the opportunity to either list or draw examples of their wants and desires on paper to turn in after the meeting.

The second community meeting was held February 24, 2009, at the Colerain Township Administration Complex. Grindline presented their design plans for the skatepark that incorporated suggestions given to them at the first meeting.
