In the Township form of government, the Board of Trustees appoints a township administrator to act as administrative head of the township under the direction and supervision of the trustees.

David Foglesong, appointed as Administrator by the Colerain Township Board of Trustees in 1990, has many duties, all under the direction of the Township Trustees. His duties include such tasks as implementing the policies and resolutions of the trustees, informing the trustees on the financial condition of the Township, preparing budgets, recommending measures as directed by the trustees, and supervising all activities of the Township including the heads of each Township department.
