Colerain Township is located in the Cincinnati-Hamilton County Metropolitan Area and is the largest township in Ohio (42.9 sq. mi.). The current Township Administrator has retired after more than 21 years of service in the position.

The Township Administrator is appointed by a three-member Board of Trustees and will function as the "Chief Executive Officer," responsible for leadership in developing and executing policy for the Township. The selected candidate will have demonstrated creativity and a strong leadership presence with the ability to get the right things done, with a sense of urgency and a high level of energy. S/he will have strong financial and analytical abilities. A bachelor's degree in public or business administration or a related field and at least ten years of increasingly responsible management experience are required. A graduate degree in a related field and an ICMA Credential are preferred.

Public Works

Part‐time (Road) Maintenance Worker

GENERAL PURPOSE: Under the general supervision of the Road Supervisor, performs a wide variety of tasks related operation of the Township Public Works Department / Road Division.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 Safely operates equipment used in carrying out the maintenance operations in the Township; single axle dump trucks, backhoe/loader, articulating front end loader, asphalt roller, brush chipper.

 Follow instructions and carries out tasks assigned in an efficient and timely manner.

 Properly uses safety equipment and follows established safety procedures.

 Operates fully equipped single axle dump truck during inclement weather to ensure the effective removal of snow and ice on Township right‐of‐ways and property.

 Assists with Township events to ensure proper event operation.

 Performs all other tasks as assigned by the Road Supervisor to ensure an accurate, prompt complete response.

 TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED Farm type tractors, backhoe/loader, rubber tired front end loader, single axle dump trucks, pneumatic hammers, various hydraulic powered hand tools, asphalt roller, hot tar kettle, chain saws and other powered and non‐powered hand tools.

 ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: Normal working hours are Mon. ‐ Fri. 7:30 am ‐ 4 pm (weather contingent) as scheduled by the Road Supervisor. Must be available for snow, ice or other inclement weather emergencies 24 hrs as determined by Road Superintendent.
